Last night’s dream was a dramatic
and presumably Final re-visit of a
cornucopia of locations and scenes from prior dreams.
One central theme that immediately
comes to memory is the motif of the video game.1
My travels with Maria brought us back to the pirate
ship from Monkey Island. We advanced to an unprecedented degree.We ultimately
wound up on a mountain island upon our escape from the pirate ship, ascending a
familiar light azure staircase against the backdrop of a deep indigo night,

Prior to the pirate ship episode,
the dream re-visited the battlefield, which had clearly been modeled after the
Blarg Home World2 from the original ‘RatchetandClank’ game.
There was a tunnel borrowed from
the Fire Trial level of ‘Atlantis:The Lost Empire’. The structure had the
Roofbeams lending it a ribcage from the earlier dream wherein Ripto chased me
through lofty corridors with Bombs.
The game culminated in a trial in a
building that was probably adjacent to the Shopping Mall.
The sequence of events largely
escapes me. I remember walking up the
street, past a procession at the high school, and emerging at night-time in a gently populated, one-story
city that combined San Marcos, Encinitas, and Tholen’s Oceanside.
There was a return to Palomar College,although
public transit was markedly less pervasive as an image.
